According to a statement released by McLaren-Honda via their website, “Fernando Alonso will return to the cockpit of his MP4-30 car for this weekend’s Malaysian Grand Prix.” Fernando has been out of the car since he was involved in an accident during pre-season testing in Barcelona, Spain on February, 22nd. This accident resulted in a concussion for Alonso , and suspicion from the media.

At one point there were reports that Fernando had suffered long term memory loss causing him to forget the last 20 years of his life. Hopefully this weekend will bring a stop to all of the conjecture, when Fernando finally puts his McLaren-Honda back on track.

Something he has been preparing for. According to McLaren-Honda, Fernando has been put through a rigorous physical training program. He has also been doing simulator work with the team, in preparation for this weekends race.

However, Fernando is not entirely out of the woods yet. He still needs to pass a final test for the FIA on Thursday, March 26th.
