On this episode of our F1 Podcast we review the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix. We start with our thoughts on the 2 front jack men for Lotus and McLaren. We then continue to discuss the various events from the race like: Should Vettel have covered Hamilton? Should Hamilton have stayed out on the hard tire in front of Nico Rosberg? If Ferrari brought so many upgrades, then why did they finish 45 seconds behind Mercedes?
From there we briefly discuss the first in season testing event in Barcelona, Spain. Why didn’t Manor attend? Well it’ll be pretty obvious once you hear the reason.
With the in season test came a bunch of new drivers. This made for a largest new driver game ever. Listen as Brad fails miserably at trying to guess their accomplishments. We really need to find a way to score him on his performance.
After that we put on our tin foil hats and discuss a subject that is currently being dissected by F1 Conspiracy Theorists. Is Nikki Lauda to blame, or is he the theorist? You will have to listen to find out!
From there we discuss some more of the same. Will Red Bull quit? Will Hamilton finally sign a contract with Mercedes? Is Audi finally going to announce their intent to join Formula 1? As usual we do not have answers for any of these questions.
Everyone’s favorite segment, “Where in the World is Carmen Jorda” makes its much welcomed return! This is probably the best one yet!
Finally we discuss some F1 news, like McLaren’s demand for tear off reform, Michellin’s requirements to return to F1, and a survey from the drivers to the fans.
