A lot has happened since Formula Feud took a week off. It seems Formula 1 still goes on without us. Brad and Brandon start this all new episode with a review of Monza. Was there conspiracy behind what we are referring to as “psi gate”? We speculate wildly.
Great news for America this week! Alexander Rossi will be taking over Roberto Merhi’s race seat for 5 of the 7 remaining races. This makes him the first American Formula 1 driver since 2007.
After that good news we discuss Renault’s statements saying they either buy Lotus or leave the sport. Can Formula 1 afford to lose 1 of its 4 engine suppliers? And what does that mean for Lotus if they leave? Mercedes has already said that they are too scared of Red Bull to give them engines so it seems like Ferrari will be their only viable option for getting a competitive engine next year. Of course, our main are of concern is making sure that Carmen Jorda’s future in F1 is secure.
We sample a new segment called “Button Says…” where we extract the wisdom from the words of Jenson Button. The upcoming longest calendar in Formula 1 history has teams upset that they will have their summer break taken away. However, it seems the solution to this is a triple header in Asia that they are not happy about either.
All of that and more before we even get to the Singapore Grand Prix preview. It is Formula 1 after dark this race as we return to the home of night racing. Sebastian Vettel knows how to dominate at this track and the Mercedes power advantage won’t be as valuable as it usually is.
So strap on your gas masks and breath easy because Formula Feud is back and is all new!
