Did you miss us? We missed you. No we did not die nor did we have to go train for the possible seats available at Manor. As most Formula 1 off-seasons go, we did nothing but stare out at the wintery abyss and wonder: Sure, Pirelli could definitely make a snow tire. Alas children, it is time to gather your families around your laptops because Formula Feud is back and we are all new!
Brad and Brandon return as does Formula 1 with brand new liveries and the biggest news from the off-season. We discuss the great news that Pastor Maldonado has been replaced by Kevin Magnussen at the newly formed Renault team. It is a pleasure to hear that K-Mags will be making his return to F1 after getting the shaft from McLaren. The other big news coming from Renault that will please everyone who has eyeballs is that Carmen Jorda will be staying on as development driver. Which is amazing of course since she is one of the major motivations for why we do this podcast.
We also cover the sad news that Manor was not wise enough to keep Alexander Rossi on as a driver and instead are going for the easy money in the form of Rio Haryanto. Money has always been a huge factor in racers getting onto teams but this instance stings a bit more since we were so excited to have a full time American driver on the Formula 1 grid. At least this year we will have an American team in the form of Haas to swell our patriotic hearts.
After the news we blast right into the new paint jobs all the teams have revealed ahead of the first testing session of the season. Brad and Brandon give their favorites and their flunkies. A new look, a new season. We are all ready to blast off into the 2016 Formula 1 calendar and we hope you stick with us all year. Formula Feud is back doing what we do best: Ranting and raving about Formula 1 news and results with absolutely no credentials or authority. See you on the track!
