Formula Feud is brand new this week to preview the season opening Formula 1 race in Melbourne, Australia. Brad and Brandon start the show with the great news the the American Grand Prix has been secured at Circuit of the Americas. This comes with the added good news that Taylor Swift will be the headlining performance after the race. Thank you Taylor for saving the United States Grand Prix.
Brad gets Brandon’s opinions on some of the comments Dr. Helmut Marko made in an interview regarding both of the Red Bull teams and the issues still present in Formula 1. He plays down their potential due to the lack of performance in the Renault power unit but the guys think that Red Bull will be more competitive than he claims.
Force India’s owner, Vijay Mallya, has been in the news a lot about his financial troubles. Luckily, people claim that this will not affect the Formula 1 team and Brandon has some information on their development program. The big question for them and a lot of teams is when will they switch their focus to the 2017 cars? While the regulations will be changing the cars drastically it is still important that Force India gets the money from finishing as high as possible in the championship. Brad and Brandon also discuss how crucial it is that the maintain their position in the Formula 1 strategy group. What will happen to sport if no one is there to speak for the little guys?
Other stories include Haas F1 signing 17 year old American Santino Ferucci to be a development driver and Brad has a great theory on how to get an American driver into the new American Formula 1 team. We also touch on the stories that Sauber has not been able to fully pay their staff on time.
But wait there’s more! Brad tries to explain F1’s new tire rules to Brandon with little success. The new rules are very confusing so we recommend you check out Chain Bear F1’s great video explanation. https://www.youtube.com/user/chainbearf1/feed
After that we get into the Australian Grand Prix preview. Brad and Brandon decide it will be more to fun to predict what each other’s predictions will be and they have a great new game for the trophies.
